Dear Mr. ABe,
your drawings are simply amazing. The intensive, often dark and melancholic style of your characters and lanscapes are extremely appealing to me. I don't "know" many artists like you, but from what I've seen from other people, at most only Range Murata comes close to what I feel when seeing your drawings. I've watched the animes you've participated in so far, and especially characters such as Iwakura Lain, Reki, Rakka or Ran "burned" down into my mind because of your extraordinary and concise artwork design. I also think that Haibane Renmei is one of the best animes out there, even though it is comparatively unknown and despite it did enlarge some depressive feelings I had at the time I watched it for the first time.
Since I think your drawings do reflect some of the things "going on" in your own mind, some people might wonder how your own mental state is, as many of the (known) productions of you are of a rather dark, gloomy mood. Even though this shouldn't be the business of someone like me, I still want to say that exactly these thngs probably make it possible for you to create such memorable drawings like the one most people do know.
I'm surely looking forward to see all of your ongoing and future projects and I do hope that the many animes and their dark worlds you did decisively work on in the past and eventually will in the future won't affect you in a negative kind of way.
